I’m Rebecca Lofing, the owner of Wired by the Sun. I started this craft in June of 2016 when I was feeling very troubled and lost. I attended a small class to learn the basics of wire wrapping and immediately fell in love. I had no idea I’d like it as much as I do! I went to the class with the mentality that if I learn to wire wrap, I could make myself jewelry. Now I’ve made hundreds of creations which I've sent all over the world!
The more I created, the more I found myself not dwelling and overthinking about things I had no control over. I kept at it and felt the pain leaving my body each and every day. I went from a manager telling me I'd never amount to anything because I struggled with my mental health, to being successful at something that brings myself and others great joy! It truly healed me and put me on a path I wouldn’t change for anything. Today I wake up with a purpose, a purpose to create, something I was born to do.
